The Celestron C9.25 XLT is a Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tube with a 235 mm aperture and 2350 mm focal length (f/10): a medium aperture that remains portable, prized especially for planetary observation and imaging. Features StarBright XLT coatings and a removable secondary, Fastar compatible.
Main features
- 235 mm aperture: collects 1127 times the light of the human eye, limiting magnitude 14.4.
- 2350 mm focal length at f/10: planets, Moon, double stars, and small deep-sky objects.
- StarBright XLT coating for increased light transmission and contrast.
- Fastar compatible: a third-party optical system (not included) can be mounted in place of the secondary mirror to image at the primary focal point, with exposure times much shorter than at f/10.
- CG-5 dovetail (Vixen-style): mounts on mounts with Vixen-style attachments.
