TS-Optics PHOTOLINE 2.5-inch Deluxe Rack and Pinion Focuser for Astrophotography

For years, Teleskop Service has been seeking an alternative to high-end focusers at an affordable price. We can now offer an excellent high-end focuser at an incredible price. The rack and pinion drive system: A simple Crayford focuser works by pressure. The load on the drive shaft exerts pressure on the ball bearings and reduces the smoothness of operation. Our RPA focuser is driven by a rack and pinion guide and has no ball bearings: this has the advantage of separating the guide and bearing sections. Even under heavy loads, it can be operated smoothly with fine movements. The locking mechanism has also been improved. It is not a simple screw that exerts pressure on the drawtube, but a fixed position of the drive system. This ensures that the focus position is perfectly maintained. Self-centering 2" and 1.25" reducers: Since simple locking screws do not allow for friction locking, the 2" and 1.25" reducers are locked by a force-fit connection. Likewise, they are always perfectly centered.
