TS-Optics stray light shield for the baffle tube of 10" f/8 RC telescopes. The RC baffle tube is very generously dimensioned. However, if very large sensors are used, stray light can pass from the secondary mirror through the baffle tube towards the camera. The result is a brightening of the image or, in the worst case, even curved reflections. This stray light shield slightly reduces the front diameter of the baffle tube, thus preventing the penetration of stray light. Contrast increases. However, the clear aperture is wide enough to illuminate full-frame sensors as well. Fitting the shield is very simple: it is simply placed onto the baffle tube and carefully secured with the three set screws. The screws should only be tightened moderately and prevent the shield from falling off the baffle tube. We would like to thank the amateur astronomer and 14" RC owner, H.
