Technical data sheet
TS-Optics Deluxe 60 mm guide scope and finder with micro-focuser
Compact and powerful search and guide scope: large aperture and short focal length for guiding anywhere, even far from the Milky Way! As a finder, paired with our crosshair eyepieces, it offers a field of view between 5.3° and 5.8°: more than enough for a good overview. With non-reticle eyepieces, it becomes a wide-field telescope for comets and the Milky Way, with its star clouds and diffuse nebulae. Features: • 60 mm aperture, 240 mm focal length, f/4 focal ratio • non-rotating helical focuser for precise focusing: once the optimal sharpness is reached, just tighten the locking screw and the star stays exactly where it is, without tilting or shifting • 1.25" connection with brass compression ring and T2 thread • to use an eyepiece, the TST2-1-T2s adapter or the TSVF1 extension tube is required • standard quick-release finder shoe (for Vixen, Celestron, Skywatcher, GSO, and many others). Use with 1.25" format guide cameras, such as the ASI120MINI or Lodestar: the focus point falls between 9 and 19 mm behind the 1.25" connection, so the camera would need to be inserted too deeply. We recommend using a good 1.25" adapter that screws onto the T2 thread: this allows the camera to be mounted easily and focused without issues. Many cameras, such as the ZWO Mini Guider, have a 1.25" extension barrel: even with this, you can achieve good focus, provided you fully extend the tube and do not insert the camera all the way in. Practical tip from Teleskop-Service: with the TSIR20 eyepiece, you will get a sharp image only if you first focus the eyepiece reticle, then insert the eyepiece into the TSL60D maintaining a distance of about 4-5 mm (without inserting it all the way), and finally focus using the scope's focuser. A locking ring is useful to maintain the correct distance: the included 5 mm ring can simply be slipped onto the barrel before locking it.
