TS-Optics aluminum fine-tuning ring for M48x0.75 thread - 1 mm thickness

TS Optics fine-tuning rings are a true problem-solving solution. They allow for fine adjustment of distance with much greater precision than M48 extension tubes. Furthermore, in most cases, stability is superior to that of variable extension tubes. Unlike plastic tuning rings, with TS metal rings a clean fit is always guaranteed. They can also always be removed, even at low temperatures. Applications for fine-tuning rings: • Optimization of the distance between the camera and the corrector • Fine-tuning of extremely short distances, of a few millimeters, where extension tubes are too long due to their construction • Overly long male threads can be bridged so that they are no longer an inconvenience (as in the case of the TS quick filter changer, where the male thread would block the drawer) • Particularly fine threads tend to jam or seize, making them impossible to unscrew. The reason is often to be found in the improper manufacturing of the last thread turn. By using the fine-tuning ring, these thread turns are bypassed and the bearing becomes more correct. Sometimes the final threads are not well-defined, causing the connection to spin. The fine-tuning ring prevents this phenomenon.
