Skywatcher Evostar 72ED Refractor + Reducer/Flattener

The optical quality of this Sky-Watcher 72ED apochromat is simply fantastic for both visual observers and astrophotographers. The Extra-Low Dispersion objective delivers sharp, high-contrast images free of chromatic aberration. You will get the best for both visual and astrophotography use.

This small ED doublet apochromat is particularly well-suited as a wide-field astrograph, thanks to the undisputed optical and mechanical quality that characterizes it. The advantageous f/5.8 focal ratio makes it perfect for deep-sky astrophotography, especially for diffuse and wide-field nebulae. The Sky-Watcher 72ED also provides excellent views of terrestrial objects and the Moon, thanks to the high contrast and sharpness it offers. In particular, its small diameter makes it usable at all times, even on nights with high turbulence, and its compact size makes it easy to transport—a fantastic quality grab-and-go telescope!

The 2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 micro-reduction offers high load capacity combined with excellent stability, even with heavy equipment.

Includes tube rings, an EQ5-style dovetail bar, and a custom-fitted aluminum carry case.

NOTE: For prime focus imaging with a DSLR, a 40mm extension tube is required (optional, please request from the dealer). A dedicated x0.85 reducer/flattener is also available.
