Skywatcher Evostar 72ED Refractor

The optical quality of this Sky-Watcher 72ED apochromat is simply fantastic for both visual observers and astrophotographers. The Extra Low Dispersion objective provides sharp, high-contrast images free of chromatic aberration. You will get the best results for both visual use and astrophotography.

This small ED doublet apochromat is particularly well-suited as a wide-field astrograph, thanks to its undisputed optical and mechanical quality. Its advantageous f/5.8 focal ratio makes it perfect for deep-sky astrophotography, especially for diffuse nebulae and wide-field targets. The Sky-Watcher 72ED also delivers excellent views of terrestrial subjects and the Moon, thanks to the high contrast and sharpness it offers. In particular, its small aperture makes it usable at any time, even on nights with significant turbulence, and its compact size makes it easy to transport—a fantastic quality grab-and-go telescope!

The 2" Crayford focuser with a 1:10 micro-focuser offers high load capacity combined with excellent stability, even under heavy payloads.

Includes tube rings, an EQ5-style dovetail bar, and a custom-fitted aluminum carrying case.

NOTE: For prime focus photography with a DSLR, a 40mm extension tube is required (optional, please request from your dealer). A dedicated 0.85x reducer/flattener is also available.
