Skywatcher Explorer 200 HEQ5 Synscan - Newtonian
The Sky-Watcher Newton 200/1000 f/5 telescope is arguably the most widely used Newtonian in the world, as it offers all these features combined with an optical and mechanical quality unexpected for such an affordable product. It offers high optical quality that will allow you to see and photograph many objects in the Universe, combined with quality mechanics that include an excellent 2-inch (50.8mm) Crayford focuser with 1:10 micro-focusing. Perfect for visual use on at least an EQ5 mount; for photographic use, we recommend a model like the EQ6-R.
Thanks to its 200mm aperture, this telescope opens up new possibilities for those looking for a powerful instrument at an affordable price. Compared to a 150mm telescope, it gathers 78% more light, allowing you to observe or photograph many more details even of faint objects like galaxies or nebulae. Furthermore, thanks to the larger diameter, you can achieve higher magnifications and observe finer details. Due to a small secondary mirror and the secondary spider (support) vanes, the images maintain high contrast even at high magnifications.
The SkyWatcher Newton 200/1000 f/5 telescope features a solid 2-inch (50.8mm) Crayford focuser with a 1.25-inch (31.8mm) adapter and 1:10 micro-focusing, which is superior to those found on similar telescopes from other brands. It allows for both the use of 2-inch wide-angle eyepieces (to obtain low magnifications and large fields of view) and the connection of cameras equipped with large sensors (such as DSLRs): in this case, we recommend using the AOCORR coma corrector for f/5 telescopes to flatten the field.
The Sky-Watcher Newton 200/1000 f/5 telescope comes standard with support rings and a Vixen-style dovetail bar, along with a 28mm LET 2” eyepiece, a 2-inch connector with a 1.25-inch adapter, and a 9x50 finderscope.
Compatible with coma corrector code AOCORR.
