The Sky-Watcher Evostar 120/1000 optical tube is a 120mm diameter achromatic refractor with a 1000mm focal length. The large diameter allows for much more light gathering, making it easier to observe dimmer objects. The EQ5 mount is a solid base for your telescope, whether you want to practice astrophotography or just visual observation. The micrometric movements on both axes allow for smooth and precise tracking. Motorized with Sky-Watcher's famous Synscan GOTO system, which will also allow you to practice long-exposure astrophotography thanks to the ST4 port integrated into the system. Furthermore, the included polar scope will allow you to perform precise polar alignment, thanks also to the precise azimuth and altitude adjustments.
It can mount telescopes equipped with a Vixen dovetail bar, thanks to its mounting flange. It has a maximum payload of approximately 10kg, allowing you to mount Newtonians up to 200mm in diameter, refractors up to 120mm, or 150mm if they are short-tube. Or even SCs up to 200-230mm. It can also be controlled via computer using the supplied RS232 cable, connected to the SynScan hand controller (in PC-direct mode) and using the excellent EQMOD drivers available for free on the internet. The steel tripod has a variable height from 80 to 130cm and provides great stability to the system.

The Sky-Watcher Synscan system is a very precise tool that will guide you to easily find objects to observe, whether they are nebulae or planets, as well as remote galaxies. Point to the desired object by pressing just one button! The easy-to-use menu allows you to navigate easily to choose from the tens of thousands of objects available to observe.
