Skywatcher Evostar 102 EQM35 Synscan - Refractor

The SkyWatcher Evostar 102/1000 optical tube is an achromatic refractor with a 102mm diameter and a 1000mm focal length. The large diameter allows for much more light gathering, making it easier to observe fainter objects. A highly respectable optic with good features and quality, accessible to everyone given its very low price.

The long focal length of this Skywatcher Evostar allows for improved resolution, and being versatile and lightweight, it can be used for both deep-sky and planetary observations, as well as photography.

The Sky-Watcher EQM-35 PRO Synscan equatorial mount offers the versatility of two distinct mounts in one single solution! A standard SynScan Go-To equatorial mount equipped with a WiFi module and a lightweight, convenient, and versatile mount for photography.

In the standard configuration with DEC and RA axes, it can be used as a normal Synscan equatorial mount with WiFi Go-To module and tracking on both axes. In this configuration, the payload capacity for visual use is a full 10 kg.

The mount has some aesthetic similarities to the classic EQ3, but it possesses features and performance equal to much more expensive mounts. For example, the EQM35 Pro mount features a large 92.5 mm diameter RA gear with 180 teeth for high-precision tracking (compared to the 130 teeth of the EQ3) with periodic error values equivalent to higher-end mounts. The mechanics have been significantly improved, which translates into greater stability, increased payload capacity, and fewer vibrations with truly minimal settling times.

The new design, however, provides the possibility of removing the DEC axis, the counterweight bar, and the counterweights themselves, considerably reducing the weight and bulk of the instrument. In this configuration, you can use a simple 45mm Vixen-type dovetail bar with a tripod attachment (not included) and mount the camera directly using a ball head (not included). Alternatively, you can mount a DSLR on an L-bracket (optional SK-EQM35-L). In this configuration, the mount looks exactly like a Star Adventurer, but with significantly higher load capacity and tracking performance.
