Sky-Watcher Italy is thrilled to announce the HAC125, the revolutionary astrograph designed specifically for wide-field deep-sky astrophotography. This new instrument represents a significant step forward for amateur and professional astrophotographers, offering unprecedented performance in capturing detailed and sharp images of cosmic wonders.

The Sky-Watcher Honders Advanced Catadioptric 125 astrograph is the new optical tube dedicated to the world of astrophotographers, joining the current range of optical tubes in our catalog. The HAC125 is the first Sky-Watcher telescope exclusively dedicated to astrophotography and positions itself as the ideal and definitive instrument for wide-field imaging with astronomical cameras.

The innovative Honders Advanced Catadioptric optical scheme features a high-reflectivity aspherical primary mirror and a corrector with multi-coated surfaces capable of optimally correcting the main optical aberrations, thus providing point-like, bright, and defined wide-field images.

The ultra-fast f/2 focal ratio ensures exceptional light gathering in very short exposure times. With a focal length of 250mm and a diameter of 125mm, it will be possible to capture incredible details of galaxies, nebulae, star fields, etc., with just a few seconds of exposure, even without the need for autoguiding.

The exposure time required to capture the same amount of light compared to standard telescopes with f/6.3 focal ratios is about ten times lower: with just 60 seconds of exposure using the Sky-Watcher HAC125 astrograph, it will be possible to capture the same amount of light that an f/6.3 telescope would obtain in 10 full minutes of exposure. The result: bright photographs and a high signal-to-noise ratio with a very short exposure time.

The generous diameter combined with a corrected 16mm field of view allows for detailed, sharp, and defined images of vast celestial, galactic, and nebular fields.

Focusing is performed by simply rotating the camera mount located in the center of the corrector lens. The dew shield, although removable to facilitate the connection between the optical tube and the astronomical camera, also acts as a heater strap. The Sky-Watcher HAC125 optical tube features a Vixen/CG5 style dovetail bar with two rings that wrap around the tube, ensuring stability and freedom from flexure. A Mini Vixen finder shoe is also available on the optical tube, useful for correctly centering the telescope's field of view.
