Technical data sheet
Optolong LRGB Filter Set 1.25"
LRGB filter set - Astrophotography with monochrome CCD cameras Four filters for a color image: With the LRGB filter set, you can photograph the sky in color using a monochrome chip. Monochrome astronomical CCD cameras capture deep-sky objects at high resolutions because every pixel on the chip works for the same image.
With color CCD chips, resolution is reduced because some pixels are used for the color image. With an LRGB filter set and a monochrome camera, you can use the entire chip for high-resolution shots. L - The luminance filter The luminance filter lets all visible light pass through and blocks the near-UV and IR range. Therefore, the luminance filter captures all the object's details. RGB - each filter has its role The three letters RGB stand for three different colored filters used to obtain color images. The colors we perceive are derived from the three primary colors: Red, Green, and Blue.
All the colors we know are generated from these. Our eyes also mix all the colors of our world using internal RGB receptors (or filters). During the image processing phase, the four LRGB channel images are combined. This generates the color image. Tip: For photography with the LRGB filter set, use an Omegon filter wheel to change filters in seconds. The advantages at a glance: LRGB filter set for color images with monochrome CCD cameras Full chip resolution thanks to four different colored filters Durable: scratch-resistant coating Natural colors for deep-sky objects and planets
