Omegon Solar Safe Deluxe – Solar Eclipse Glasses with Rigid Frame

Omegon Solar Safe Deluxe – Solar Eclipse Glasses

The Omegon Solar Safe Deluxe glasses feature a real frame, not the typical cardboard viewer. They utilize scratch-resistant polymer lenses with an optical density of OD 5.0: the Sun appears with a natural orange tint that is sharp and pleasant to view, providing a level of comfort that disposable glasses cannot offer.

• Rigid and lightweight frame, worn like regular glasses: keeps your hands free
• Scratch-resistant polymer lenses, robust and reusable year after year
• Filters 100% of harmful ultraviolet and infrared rays and 99.999% of intense visible light
• Film with special coating for a sharp, natural-colored solar image
• Includes soft pouch with drawstring: lenses remain protected between eclipses
• Made in the USA, compliant with ISO 12312-2 standard and CE certified
• Perfect for the partial solar eclipse of August 12, 2026

With Solar Safe glasses, you can also safely track large sunspot groups visible to the naked eye during periods of peak activity, planetary transits, and the partial phases of any future eclipse. With a bit of luck, you might even spot an airplane or a flock of birds passing in front of the solar disk.

During the partial phases, the glasses must be worn at all times. They should only be removed during the possible phase of totality — which will not occur in Italy on August 12, 2026, as the eclipse will be partial. Therefore, in our area, they must be kept on for the entire duration of the phenomenon.

If you are observing with family or a group, get more than one pair: no one wants to wait for their turn during an eclipse. For schools and large groups, consider the Baader BSPS solar projection screen, which allows everyone to watch together.

⚠️ SAFETY WARNING: Always check the integrity of the lenses before use and do not use the glasses if they show deep scratches, holes, or abrasions. Never use eclipse glasses in combination with telescopes, binoculars, or telephoto lenses: concentrated radiation can pass through them and cause severe, irreversible eye damage. Always supervise children during observation.
