iOptron CEM26 GoTo LiteRoc Mount

Like its direct predecessor, the CEM25P, the new CEM26 is also designed for ease of use and portability.

iOptron's latest mount can handle up to 12 kg of payload and offers an extremely favorable weight-to-payload ratio of 2:6.

The key to this optimized ratio is iOptron’s unique "CEM Design" ("Center-Balanced Equatorial Mounts"), which directs the weight of the mount and the payload directly to the center of the tripod to create a natural center of gravity.

Based on previous CEM models, additional features have been added to the new CEM26 to ensure maximum convenience during use.

An integrated WiFi system is now included, as well as a recordable permanent periodic error correction / Periodic Error Correction (PEC).

In terms of functionality, the CEM26 offers precise pointing and very accurate tracking of selected objects.

The CEM26 sets new standards for compact, medium-sized equatorial GoTo mounts.

The center-balanced mount places the payload weight in the center, allowing for greater natural stability.

This is also a great advantage for astrophotography!

Other features of the CEM26 include an adjustable-length counterweight shaft to avoid hitting the tripod legs when used very close to the horizon.

Polar alignment is now fast and doable in any position, as the integrated polar scope is no longer blocked by the declination axis shaft (this was the case with the CEM25, for example)...

The CEM26 is again equipped with the latest Go2Nova® technology, making it one of the most powerful and accurate GoTo mounts currently available on the market!

The GoTo software database contains over 212,000 objects. The Go2Nova® hand controller is intuitive to use, and the large four-line LCD screen makes finding objects incredibly easy, even in complete darkness.

The mount features the integrated iPolar electronic polar scope. The iPolar® scope ensures accurate system alignment to the North Star, even when it is obscured – a huge relief for any amateur astronomer.

The CEM26 comes with the proven stainless steel LiteRoc tripod and a sturdy aluminum carrying case.
