Technical data sheet
iOptron AZ Pro GoTo LiteRoc Mount
Just set it up: easy to use, simple and quiet!
Thanks to built-in sensors, the AZ Pro automatically detects its position and moves to the zero position in response. It then pulls all relevant data from the built-in GPS and heads towards a bright celestial object. You then just need to center this object in the eyepiece for a final, precise adjustment and you're done. This simple process starts immediately after switching on. There is no need to enter anything beforehand, nor do you need to know the name of the bright star towards which the mount is moving.
Speaking of switching on: The AZ Pro has a built-in lithium-ion battery. So you don't have to worry about batteries or a power source. You can easily recharge the battery at any time using the supplied power adapter.
Other features:
- Two optical tubes can be mounted in parallel: primary optics up to 15 kg and 4.5 kg on the counterweight side
- Quiet and energy-efficient stepper motors
- Database with over 200,000 objects, easy to use thanks to the 8-line illuminated LCD display
- PC controllable via WLAN or serial interface
- Counterweight shaft is retractable for transport
- Sturdy aluminum body
- Easy leveling via three adjustment points
- Integrated 32-channel GPS receiver
- Built-in position and angular detection sensors
Included in delivery:
- Aluminum carrying case for the mount (optional case for the tripod under "Recommended Accessories").
- Counterweight
- Dual dovetail plate for Losmandy and Vixen. You will be able to attach any telescope directly.
- Very stable tripod
The AZ Pro is the best mount imaginable for visual observers who want to be up and running quickly and easily. It is also very suitable for planetary photography. The compact design and relatively low weight also make the AZ Pro very attractive as a travel mount.
The LiteRoc tripod is a new tripod developed by iOptron that is as light as possible but as stable as necessary. It is therefore very well suited to portable mounts for mobile observers and astrophotographers. Compared to the previous version, the LiteRoc tripod has a more stable support for the extendable tripod legs and larger locking levers. The upper tripod legs have a diameter of 45 mm (1.75") and the lower section of 38 mm (1.5"). This makes the extendable legs just as strong as those of the previous 2" tripod. Thanks to the narrower design of the upper section, the LiteRoc is lighter.
