iOptron iPolar Electronic Polar Finder for Skytracker Pro

Electronic polar finder: you will never have to bend down or crawl under the mount again! With this accessory, you can perform the polar alignment of your mount comfortably and with high precision on your screen. The electronic viewfinder has a built-in camera. It shows you the position of the celestial north pole and the position of the mount's polar axis on your notebook or PC. Simply align the two points using the altitude and azimuth adjustment screws on your mount - done!

The position of the celestial north pole differs slightly from the position of the North Star. The electronics calculate the exact position based on the time and date. Thanks to the camera's sensitivity and its wide field of view, polar alignment is possible even with a mount that is only roughly oriented.

It also works in the Southern Hemisphere! If you are also at low latitudes, atmospheric refraction is also taken into account.
