The Hubble SkyHub-B is a Bluetooth/USB-based controller that constantly monitors the position of the telescope via two encoders mounted on the telescope axes. This position information is sent to an Android, Windows, iOS, or Mac OS device, which updates the telescope's orientation in real time on the screen using your favorite planetarium software. Simply point the telescope at any star and tap the same star in Sky Safari. Then, tap any star on the screen and move the telescope so that the position matches exactly the star to be framed on the screen... done! Optionally, you can always perform a two-star alignment for greater precision. The Hubble SkyHub-B is equipped with high-resolution (8192 PPR) encoders, is extremely compact, and is highly energy-efficient. It is 80% more energy-efficient and is only about 15% the size of a conventional encoder. Technical data: Compatible with Bluetooth V2.0. USB connection with MS Windows XP/Vista/7/8 and Mac OS (Mac Book). Using Sky Safari on iPad/iPod/iTouch/iPhone is possible if an optional Skyfi WiFi receiver is connected to SkyHub via the USB port! Sky Safari can be used on a Mac Book connected directly to SkyHub via a USB cable. Works with many Windows-based planetarium software packages. Three LEDs: Power LED, Bluetooth status LED, and communication LED. External 5VDC (2A) battery box. You can use an internal 5V battery. The battery is not included. Included in the shipment is Sky Fox LT, a simple but powerful Android-based Digital Setting Circle software. It includes all planets in the Solar System, 250 named stars, the complete Messier catalog (110), the NGC/IC catalog (7840/5382), the Washington Catalog of Double Stars (WDS), the Yale Bright Star catalog, and the entire SAO catalog (258,996 stars), all for free! Compatible with Sky Safari on Android devices (with Bluetooth). Sky Safari (pro) includes 15.3 million stars, 740,000 galaxies, and 550,000 Solar System objects, including all discovered comets and asteroids. Software not included. The shipment includes the necessary mounts for the UL14/16 (or UL18/20) encoder, the power cable, and an external 5V battery box.
