Howie Glatter TuBlug 2''
Howie Glatter tuBlug – The accessory for convenient collimation.
The tuBlug is the answer for anyone who wants to collimate their solid-tube Dobson from the primary mirror, or who does not want to remove the light shroud from their truss-tube Dobson.
The tuBlug is a variation of the Blug (Barlowed collimation plug) with a 45° view outside the tube (through-the-tube Barlowed collimation).
tuBlug stands for "tunnel barlowed collimation plug". The Barlow lens is integrated into the "tuBlug" and features a multi-layer anti-reflection coating. The "tuBlug" is available in two sizes, 1.25" and 2".
What the "tuBlug" does
As with a Cheshire eyepiece, thanks to the 45° wedge, you can easily distinguish the concentric circles of the laser image and the center mark on the primary mirror during collimation. Based on the laser image, the primary and secondary mirrors can be adjusted and corrected on the optical axis.
Main features
