Technical data sheet
GIORDANO® GIO-585C 8.3 Megapixel USB 3.0 Color CMOS Astronomical Camera with Fan
The GIO-585C Fan camera adapts the SONY IMX585 sensor and is a state-of-the-art camera for imaging planetary and deep-sky objects. It is designed with an integrated heat dissipation structure.
Furthermore, it features zero amp glow, very small pixel size, and high dynamic range (HDR). Therefore, it is suitable as a very affordable entry-level camera for deep-space photography.
STARVIS 2
STARVIS refers to the back-illuminated image sensor technology developed by Sony to improve low-light characteristics and near-infrared sensitivity. STARVIS 2 has improved dynamic range and near-infrared sensitivity compared to STARVIS 1. Taking advantage of this, the GIO-585C Fan shows better performance.
