GIO-APO601 – 60mm f/4.66 Full Frame Apochromatic Refractor
The GIO-APO601 is a professional apochromatic refractor designed for wide-field deep-sky astrophotography. Thanks to its sophisticated 5-element PAPO (Planar Apochromatic Optical design) system with an integrated field flattener, it delivers pinpoint stars to the corners of the sensor, supporting cameras up to Full Frame (44 mm image circle).
5-element apochromatic optics
The optical assembly consists of 5 lenses designed to drastically reduce chromatic aberration, field curvature, and coma. Correction is built directly into the optical design, eliminating the need for external field flatteners and simplifying the imaging setup.
Full Frame performance
With coverage up to 44 mm, the GIO-APO601 is compatible with APS-C and Full Frame sensors, maintaining high stellar sharpness across the entire frame. Ideal for modern CMOS astronomical cameras and the latest generation mirrorless cameras.
Fast f/4.66 focal ratio
The 280 mm focal length with an f/4.66 ratio allows for shorter exposure times compared to traditional refractors, making it perfect for:
- Extended nebulae (North America, Veil, Rosetta)
- Star clusters
- Medium-to-large galaxies
- Wide-field mosaics
Precision mechanics
The optical tube is crafted from CNC-machined aluminum alloy with a durable anodized finish. The focusing system is smooth and precise, compatible with electronic focusers for automated astrophotography.
