Celestron Starsense Explorer DX 6 AZ - SC

The new Celestron StarSense Explorer telescope series represents a new way to observe the night sky. A true revolution that has finally become part of the Celestron product catalog. Until now, our catalog consisted only of two broad categories of altazimuth instruments: manual and NexStar+ computerized. With the new StarSense Explorer series, we have reinvented the way amateur astronomy is practiced. Forget complicated star charts, inaccurate planetarium apps, and expensive computerized mounts. With Celestron StarSense Explorer telescopes, locating celestial objects has never been faster or easier. Simply place your smartphone in the dedicated dock on the mount and launch the StarSense Explorer app. Once you have aligned your smartphone with the telescope’s optics—a process that takes just a couple of minutes—you will have all the wonders of the night sky ready to be targeted. After selecting your desired object from those proposed and visible, simply follow the on-screen instructions on your smartphone, moving the telescope until you center the celestial object, whether it is the Moon, a planet, a galaxy, or a nebula. The StarSense Explorer app allows you to select the object to point to from the list of visible targets. It will then show you the direction you need to move in to track it down, zooming in closer and closer until you are on target. Now, all that remains is to observe it through the telescope eyepiece. Unlike all systems currently on the market, including astronomical apps, the patented StarSense Explorer system AUTOMATICALLY RECOGNIZES the telescope's EXACT POSITION IN THE SKY by using the brightest stars. How does the object-pointing work? Choose the object you want to observe from the list suggested by the StarSense Explorer app. The StarSense Explorer app will show you which direction to start moving the telescope manually. Move the telescope by following the indications provided in the app. Object centered. You can start observing. Celestron StarSense Explorer is compatible with the majority of smartphones on the market. Discover the complete list of compatible iOS and Android smartphones here. The altazimuth mount with slow-motion controls on both axes will allow you to precisely point at any celestial object. Simply follow the prompts on your smartphone screen for exciting views of the most beautiful celestial objects in the night sky. Even from city skies, thanks to the telescope's generous diameter, you will have access to many of the most beautiful celestial objects in the night sky for observation, including, in addition to planets and the Moon, the Andromeda Galaxy, the Orion Nebula, and many of the star clusters visible from Earth. In addition to the mount and the adjustable tripod with an accessory tray, the instrument includes the optical tube, two eyepieces, a red dot finderscope, and an erect-image diagonal.
