Celestron StarSense Camera

The Celestron StarSense accessory for GoTo telescope alignment consists of an integrated digital camera that attaches to the telescope’s optical tube, and a hand controller that connects to computerized telescopes using Celestron NexStar technology. The technology used by StarSense utilizes an integrated camera to automatically identify calibration stars and allow for automatic alignment of the telescope’s optical tube with celestial objects. After installing the camera and activating the hand controller, the StarSense accessory collects alignment information based on the stars registered in the field of view, and after 3 minutes of calculation, it allows for precision pointing with the instrument. Celestron's proprietary technology analyzes the field captured by the camera and identifies calibration stars that are pre-loaded into the hand controller, allowing compatible computerized Celestron mounts to automatically align with the Moon, planets, or deep-sky objects of the observer's choice. Compatible with computerized Celestron and Sky-Watcher GOTO mounts.
