Celestron Skyris 236M Monochrome
Skyris cameras are the first to be designed and manufactured in Germany by The Imaging Source, a leader in high-end planetary imaging, in collaboration with Celestron engineers in California. Based on ultra-fast USB 3.0 technology, Skyris cameras allow for data transfer at the highest possible speeds. The 236C series cameras use the 2.3 MP monochrome Sony EXMOR IMX 236 CMOS sensor; near-infrared sensitivity is double that of the IMX 136 model, and with a pixel size of just 2.8 microns, this camera rightfully places itself at the top of the range for planetary imaging. Compatible software includes iCap, IC Capture, DirectShow, and FireCapture. Skyris cameras can also be used as excellent autoguiders for long-exposure photography.
