This T-Adapter for telescopes must be used in conjunction with a brand-specific M48 T-Ring (not in our catalog, though M48 Sky-Watcher rings are compatible) to connect an APSC or Full-Frame DSLR camera to a Celestron EdgeHD telescope. This adapter is compatible only with Celestron EdgeHD 925, 1100, and 1400 telescopes. This configuration is used for terrestrial photography and short exposures, for prime focus solar and lunar photography, and especially for long-exposure deep-sky imaging when using an off-axis guider or a separate guidescope. Using the M48 thread instead of M42 in astrophotography allows for a significant reduction in vignetting effects, especially on large sensors such as Full Frame. The result? Sensational astrophotographs and an optical train that illuminates the sensor across its entire area. For APSC sensors, the M48 T2 adapter is not strictly necessary, as an M42 one will suffice. However, for Full Frame sensors, the brightness gain at the periphery of the sensor is significant. The chart below is illustrative. Celestron does not have T-rings in its catalog with the M48 thread dedicated to current DSLR cameras (Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc.), so it is advisable to look at other brands, such as Sky-Watcher, for example.
