Celestron X-CEL LX 9mm Eyepiece

The new X-Cel LX series eyepieces are of very high quality and are ideal for planetary observations. Redesigned with an aesthetically pleasing yet robust rubber grip and featuring adjustable pop-up eyecups (also suitable for eyeglass wearers), these new eyepieces have been designed to provide maximum viewing comfort and great ease of use. They have a wide 60° apparent field of view and a 6-element optical design with fully multi-coated surfaces to ensure very pleasant wide-field observations. X-Cel LX eyepieces are parfocal, meaning they do not require focus adjustments when switching between focal lengths (within the same eyepiece series). • The long eye relief makes viewing comfortable even when using short focal length eyepieces • The wide-angle field enhances the viewing of astronomical objects • The 6-element multi-coated optical design offers sharper and higher contrast images • The adjustable pop-up eyecups are easier and more comfortable, especially for eyeglass wearers • The rubber grip improves handling of the eyepiece even in cold and damp weather conditions. • Parfocal eyepieces do not require focus adjustment when changing the eyepiece focal length
