Celestron NEXSTAR EVOLUTION 8

The Celestron NexStar Evolution series represents an evolution in astronomical instruments, being the most technologically advanced telescopes ever created. Equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, they can be controlled directly via smartphone, tablet, or phablet using iOS or Android. The Celestron Planetarium Mobile App allows for full control of the instrument with a simple "tap" and exploration of the sky using the 120,000 objects in the NexStar database.

Worried about running out of power? Don't be, Celestron has included a USB port that will keep your device charged at all times; furthermore, this series features a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that ensures over 10 hours of continuous telescope operation.

Tired of having your pockets full of eyepieces, filters, and adapters? The NexStar Evolution tripod is equipped with a tray featuring holes to hold 31.8 mm and 50.8 mm eyepieces and accessories, a solid section to place filters and adapters, and—believe it or not—an integrated red LED illuminator that will help you choose your accessories without ruining your dark adaptation. This very useful tray also allows the tripod to be folded without needing to remove it, saving time and effort.

The NexStar Evolution Series includes 6”, 8”, and 9.25” SCT models and is the perfect synthesis of the tradition of excellent Celestron optics with XLT coatings and the convenience and high technology of NexStar Evolution single-fork arm mounts, featuring automatic pointing, a hand control with upgradable NexStar firmware, SkyAlign™ alignment system, and much more. The NexStar Evolution single-fork arm mounts are equipped with a universal dovetail mounting platform, allowing them to be used with other optical tubes.
