Celestron NEXSTAR EVOLUTION 6

The Celestron NexStar Evolution series represents the next step in the evolution of astronomical instruments, being the most technologically advanced telescopes ever created. Equipped with an integrated Wi-Fi device, they can be controlled directly via smartphone, tablet, or phablet using iOS or Android. The Celestron Planetarium Mobile App allows for complete control of the instrument with a simple “tap” and exploration of the sky through the 120,000 objects in the NexStar database. Worried about running out of power? No need to worry; Celestron has included a USB port that will keep your device charged. Furthermore, this series features a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that guarantees continuous telescope operation for over 10 hours. Tired of having your pockets full of eyepieces, filters, and adapters? The NexStar Evolution tripod comes with a tray featuring holes to house 31.8 mm and 50.8 mm eyepieces and accessories, a solid area for resting filters and adapters, and—listen to this—a red LED overhead illuminator that will help you choose your accessories without ruining your dark adaptation. This highly useful tray also allows the tripod to be folded without needing to be disassembled, a feature that saves time and effort. The NexStar Evolution Series includes 6”, 8”, and 9.25” SCT models and is the happy synthesis of the tradition of excellent Celestron optics with XLT coatings and the practicality and high technology of the NexStar Evolution single-fork arm mounts, featuring automatic pointing, a hand control with updatable NexStar firmware, the SkyAlign™ alignment system, and much more. NexStar Evolution single-fork arm mounts are equipped with a universal dovetail mounting platform and can therefore be used with other optical tubes.
