Celestron NEXSTAR 4 SE

Catadioptric telescope with computerized single-fork altazimuth GO-TO Nexstar SE mount. The Celestron NexStar SE series of computerized telescopes is a successful synthesis of the tradition of excellent Celestron optics with XLT coating and the practicality and high technology of Nexstar SE single-fork mounts, equipped with automatic pointing, a hand controller with upgradable Nexstar firmware, SkyAlign™ alignment system, and much more. The Nexstar SE single-fork mounts are equipped with a universal dovetail mounting platform and can therefore be used with other optical tubes. Nexstar SE telescopes are portable instruments with very advanced features. They allow for precision alignment in just a few minutes with SkyAlign technology, which involves pointing at three bright stars "at random" and letting the Nexstar computer do the rest. The SkyAlign function does not require the user to know the sky. Includes a 220V power adapter and a battery compartment (for 8 AA batteries, not included), a web-upgradable NexStar hand controller with SkyAlign easy-alignment function, and a database of over 4000 celestial objects. The Nexstar 4SE is suitable for primarily visual use, for both terrestrial and astronomical subjects, but also allows for photographic shooting with SLR, mirrorless, or compact cameras, and video with webcams.
