Celestron X-Cel LX 2x Barlow Lens

A 3-element apochromatic 2x Barlow lens designed for use with short focal length telescopes and high-resolution planetary imaging, this new Celestron X-CEL LX Barlow offers apochromatic correction thanks to its 3-element optical design, ensuring high sharpness and perfect contrast transfer at high magnifications. This Barlow doubles the magnification of any eyepiece. It is perfect for use with short focal length telescopes that require higher magnification for lunar or planetary observations. It is also an excellent choice for digital planetary imaging with all types of telescopes. All lenses are multi-coated to increase contrast and minimize internal reflections. The eyepiece holder uses a brass compression ring that provides an effective perimeter clamping of the eyepieces without marking the barrel. Recommended for: •high-resolution imaging with webcams and cameras •negative projection photography with Newtonian telescopes lacking sufficient backfocus •high-magnification visual observations with 1.25" eyepieces
