Technical data sheet
Celestron CGX 925
Tube with Schmidt-Cassegrain optics corrected to the diffraction limit, allowing for sharp images across a wide field of view. The Celestron C9.25 is a medium-aperture telescope that has become famous for its remarkable optical performance, which is especially appreciated in the field of planetary imaging. The C9.25 is suitable for universal use, both astronomical and terrestrial, visual and photographic, and belongs to the Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain family of telescopes. These are among the most modular astronomical instruments in existence, capable of working optimally over a very wide range of focal lengths, which makes them highly satisfactory for a broad spectrum of applications, both astronomical and terrestrial. The optics are treated with the high-light-transmission XLT coating. FEATURES Optical Design Schmidt-Cassegrain Diameter 235 mm Focal Length 2350 mm Focal Ratio f/10 Obstruction 0.34 Light Gathering Power 1127x (naked eye=1) Starbright XLT Coating Focusing Via primary mirror movement Fastar Compatibility No Tube Material Aluminum OTA Length 559 mm Weight 9 kg Celestron is pleased to present the new CGX equatorial mount, the evolution of the CGEM series with decisive mechanical, technological, and ergonomic improvements. The belt drive will allow for smooth, backlash-free tracking even with the heaviest optical tubes, exceeding 25kg, while the integrated optical sensors and internal architecture will allow you to comfortably control the mount remotely without any worries. The ability to manage the forward and backward movement of the mount finally allows you to shift the center of gravity at your pleasure, enabling the most precise balancing and weight distribution possible. The convenient handles on the mount and the brand-new, even more robust tripod, in combination with the ergonomic design of the accessory tray, make the CGX mount easy and convenient to transport, ideal for amateur astronomers who are always on the move. Redesigned knobs, improved materials, and mechanical and electronic advancements make the CGX the most technological Celestron mount ever. An autoguider port, two auxiliary ports useful for connecting the mount via WiFi using Sky Portal (sold separately) and for connecting the Star Sense camera (sold separately), a USB input port useful for connecting the telescope to a PC to manage its movements and alignment via the included software, a NexStar+ hand controller with a mini-USB connector, and many other innovations like an internal clock complete the features of the CGX and will ensure you have unforgettable nights of observation and photography. FEATURES Type German Equatorial Mount Load Capacity 25kg Tripod Height Adjustment Range 47.25” – 77.5” (including equatorial head) Tripod Leg Diameter 2” Latitude Adjustment Range 3º-65º Tripod Weight 8.8kg Equatorial Head Weight 20kg Maximum Speed 5º/second Tracking Speed Sidereal, Solar, Lunar.
