The Advanced VX 8 uses Schmidt-Cassegrain optics corrected to the diffraction limit, allowing for sharp images across a wide field of view. The Celestron C8 is the best-selling astronomical instrument in the world due to its great compactness and light weight combined with high optical performance.

The C8 is suitable for universal use, both astronomical and terrestrial, both visual and photographic, and belongs to the family of Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, which are among the most modular astronomical instruments in existence; they can work optimally across a very wide range of focal lengths, making them satisfying to use in a broad array of applications, both astronomical and terrestrial. Advanced VX series telescopes are mounted on the new computerized Advanced VX equatorial mount. The basic kit includes high-quality accessories: a 6x30mm finderscope, a 20mm Plössl eyepiece, and a 31.8 mm diameter diagonal with which you can start observing immediately.

The new Advanced VX mount has been designed to provide optimal performance in imaging with small telescopes. Now your instrument can take advantage of the convenient All-Star Polar Alignment (which allows for alignment without seeing the North Star) and the electrical port for autoguiding. You will be able to track long exposures and program the Permanent Periodic Error Correction. You can also take photos across the meridian without performing a meridian flip.

The Advanced VX mount features a significantly larger base plate than the previous mount, improving stability when subjected to heavy loads. The improved motors offer more torque and are able to handle slight imbalances with ease. Furthermore, the AVX mount is equipped with an internal clock (RTC module) with a backup battery, so it can be turned off without losing alignment data. 220V POWER SUPPLY INCLUDED!
