Celestron LPR Filter for RASA 8
Celestron # 93614 LPS Filter for RASA8 Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph. Enhance the contrast of your RASA8 images with this nebula filter. Artificial sky glow (light pollution) caused by cities is nearly blocked, darkening the sky background while nebulas and star clusters retain their brightness. Contrast is increased. You can expose up to 4 times longer, achieving corresponding depth. The filter transmits, for example, without obstruction: • H-Alpha - 656 nm • H-Beta - 486 nm • O-III - 496 nm and 501 nm • S-II - 672 nm. Installing the nebula filter in the RASA8: The filter replaces the RASA8 optical window. Remove the clear glass filter and screw in the LPS filter. Ensure the filter is fully screwed in. At this point, the distances are correct, and you can continue photographing with the original adapters.
