Player One Astronomy Apollo-C Color Solar Camera (IMX174)
Player One Astronomy Apollo-C color solar camera (IMX174). The Apollo-C (IMX174) color camera is the solar camera developed by Player One Astronomy, featuring a 1/1.2” Sony IMX174 sensor. The pixel size is 5.86um, allowing for a full well of 32k e- with a total of 2.3MP (resolution is 1944*1216), and the diagonal is 13.3mm. Pregius Technology: The IMX174 sensor is based on first-generation Pregius technology, a major step forward in CMOS sensor development. The IMX174 and IMX249 have the same performance; the only difference is that the IMX174 is faster (164FPS). Format: The format of the IMX174 is 1/1.2". 2nd Gen – Sensor Tilt Plate Passive Cooling System: Solar cameras work during the day, and temperatures can be much higher than at night. For this reason, Player One has added the new Passive Cooling System feature to conduct heat away from the sensor. 256M DDR3 Memory: Player One Astronomy cameras are the first to use DDR3 memory! This helps to stabilize and secure data transmission, effectively avoids frame loss, and significantly reduces read noise. With DDR3 memory, the camera no longer has high processing requirements and will still have excellent performance even when connected to a USB 2.0 port. DPS Technology: Player One Astronomy cameras feature DPS (Dead Pixel Suppression) technology. DPS analyzes many dark frames to find abnormal pixels. All dead pixels in the image (including both hot and cold pixels) are swept away. The DPS function is active during the entire imaging session. Overvoltage and overcurrent protection mechanism: Player One cameras ensure the safety of their cameras and equipment through an overvoltage and overcurrent protection mechanism. Data Port: When the camera is connected to the USB3.0 port and full-resolution preview is used, it can reach 164 FPS in 10-bit mode (RAW8). When recording images, since the actual write speed will be affected by the write speed of the hard drive itself, when the hard drive write speed is slow, recording may not reach the theoretical speed. It is recommended to use a high-quality solid-state drive to record data to take full advantage of the camera's performance. Use the ST4 guide cable to connect the camera and the AUTO GUIDE port of the equatorial mount for autoguiding. Performance
