Player One Astronomy Artemis-M Pro (IMX492) USB3.0 Monochrome Cooled Camera

Player One Astronomy Artemis-M Pro (IMX492) USB3.0 monochrome cooled camera. The DSO cooled camera line is the most advanced product line in Player One's history. The project began in 2021; through many modifications and rebuilds, this final version was created. New cutting-edge design: An octagon forms the main body, and 4 sides are curved surfaces, complemented by rounded bevels to achieve both rigidity and flexibility. The front is round to avoid diffraction on RASA systems. The bright red, reminiscent of a summer fire, is paired with sober black, and the super-fine coating process on the entire surface makes the camera luxurious, cool, and maintains the Player One style. The Artemis-M Pro (IMX492) cooled camera is developed by Player One Astronomy and is designed for advanced DSO imaging. It adopts the Sony IMX492 4/3" format monochrome sensor. The 2.315 µm pixel size accommodates a full well of 18.6 Ke- with a total of 47 MPx (resolution is 8288*5648) and a diagonal of 23.2 mm. 4-point rear-adjustable sensor tilt plate: When capturing deep-sky objects, using the sensor tilt plate can achieve much smaller field curvature from the telescope. Adopting rear adjustment and a 4-point tilt plate offers many advantages in use. The 4-point adjustment makes it easier to know which angle needs to be adjusted. The built-in high-density sponge shading pad can block light from side gaps without light leaks. To understand the 4-point adjustment method, here is an example for users: Deep cooling: The Player One cooled camera series uses a 2-stage TEC cooling unit; after improving the structure design to reject heat from the camera, the Delta-T can reach over 40°C. 512 MB DDR3 cache: As an improvement, the DDR3 cache in the cooled cameras has been increased to 512 MB. It helps to stabilize and secure data transmission, effectively avoids frame loss, and significantly reduces read noise. With the DDR3 cache, the camera no longer has high processing requirements and will perform excellently even when connected to a USB 2.0 port. STARVIS technology: The Artemis-M Pro (IMX492) cooled camera is based on Sony STARVIS technology, a back-illuminated pixel technology used in CMOS image sensors. 4/3" format: The Artemis-M Pro cooled camera has a 4/3" format (19.2 mm*13 mm), a very popular size for DSO imaging. Pixel BIN mode: The IMX492 sensor has 47 native Megapixels; there is no need to unlock anything and no technology is required to do so. 12-bit depth: The IMX492 has an on-chip 12-bit ADC. When using BIN1 mode, the IMX492 has 47 megapixels, the pixel size is 2.315um, and the bit depth is 12-bit (4096 levels). 14-bit depth: When using hardware BIN2 mode, the IMX492 will have 11.7 Megapixels, the pixel size is 4.63um, and the bit depth will extend to 14-bit (16384 levels). BIN1 and BIN2 will also cause changes in full well, FPS, and read noise. Software BIN supports BIN2, BIN3, and BIN4 modes, but hardware BIN only has BIN2 mode (middle BIN). The main data port supports the USB 3.0 protocol; the camera can operate at 8 fps in RAW8 mode. The Type-C port is easier to plug in when setting up imaging equipment at night. When recording images, since the effective write speed will be affected by the write speed of the hard drive itself, if the hard drive's write speed is slow, the recording might not reach the theoretical speed. It is recommended to use a high-quality solid-state drive to record data to give full perform
