Player One Astronomy Artemis-C Pro (IMX294) USB3.0 Color Cooled Camera

Player One Astronomy Artemis-C Pro (IMX294) USB3.0 Color Cooled Camera The DSO cooled camera line is the most advanced product line in Player One's history. The project started in 2021, and through many modifications and rebuilds, this final version was created. New cutting-edge design An octagon forms the main body, and 4 sides are curved surfaces, complemented by round chamfers to achieve both rigidity and flexibility. The front is round to avoid diffraction on RASA telescopes. The bright red, reminiscent of a summer fire, is paired with sober black, and the super-fine coating process on the entire surface makes the camera look luxurious and cool, maintaining the Player One style. The Artemis-C Pro (IMX294) cooled camera is developed by Player One Astronomy and is designed for advanced DSO imaging. It adopts the Sony IMX294 4/3" format color sensor. The 4.63 µm pixel size accommodates a full well depth of 65.8 Ke- with a total of 11.7 MPx (resolution is 4144*2824) and a diagonal of 23.2 mm. 4-point rear-adjustable sensor tilt plate When capturing deep-sky objects, using the sensor tilt plate can achieve much smaller field curvature from the telescope. Adopting the rear adjustment and 4-point tilt plate, it presents many advantages in use. The 4-point adjustment makes it easier to know which angle needs to be adjusted. The built-in high-density sponge shading pad can block light from side slits without side leaks. To understand the 4-point adjustment method, here is an example for users: Deep cooling The Player One cooled camera series uses a 2-stage TEC cooling unit; after improving the structure design to reject heat inside the camera, the Delta-T can reach over 40°C. 512 MB DDR3 cache As an improvement, the DDR3 cache in the cooled cameras has been increased to 512 MB. It helps stabilize and protect data transmission, effectively avoids frame drops, and greatly reduces read noise. With the DDR3 cache, the camera no longer has high processing requirements and will perform excellently even when connected to a USB 2.0 port. STARVIS technology Artemis-M Pro (IMX492) cooled camera based on Sony STARVIS technology, which is a back-illuminated pixel technology used in CMOS image sensors. 4/3" format The Artemis-M Pro cooled camera has a 4/3" format (19.2 mm*13 mm); this size is very popular for DSO imaging. 14bit ADC The IMX294 sensor has an on-chip 14-bit ADC. 14-bit (16384 levels) provides higher sample resolution than 12-bit (4096 levels). Type-C Data and Power Port The back of the cooled camera has 2 Type-C data ports and a 12V DC 5.5×2.1 mm power port. The main data port supports the USB 3.0 protocol, and the camera can run at 33 fps in RAW8 mode. The Type-C port is easier to connect when setting up imaging equipment at night. When recording images, since the actual write speed will be affected by the write speed of the hard drive itself, when the hard drive write speed is slow, the recording may not reach the theoretical speed. It is recommended to use a high-quality solid-state drive to record data to give full play to the camera's performance. The camera has a 12V DC 5.5*2.1mm port to provide sufficient power to the TEC cooling system. If you do not need to turn on the cooling, just connect the main Type-C port, and the camera will work as an uncooled camera. Standard cable usage Integrated cooling system and anti-dew heater In the ASCOM window, they are f
