Player One Astronomy Neptune-C II USB3.0 Color Planetary Camera (IMX464)
Player One Astronomy Neptune-C II USB3.0 Color Planetary Camera (IMX464) The Player One Astronomy Neptune-C II (IMX464) color camera is a planetary camera developed by Player One Astronomy, featuring the Sony IMX464 1/1.8” sensor. The pixel size is 2.9 µm, allowing for a full well of 12 k e- with a total of 4.2 MPx (the resolution is 2712*1538), and the diagonal is 9 mm. 0.7 e- ultra-low readout noise Compared to the IMX178, the readout noise of the Neptune-C II camera can be as low as 0.7 e-, and the noise is reduced by approximately 47%, just like the IMX462! Increased sensitivity Compared to the 1/1.8" IMX178 sensor, we find that the pixel of the IMX464 sensor is larger, reaching 2.9 µm. When used on the same telescope, although the efficiency is not very different, the 2.9 µm pixel has a 46% larger photosensitive area than the 2.4 µm pixel, which means that the sensitivity has also been significantly improved. Extremely high frame rate The Neptune-C II can reach 93 FPS at full resolution, 55% higher than the 60 FPS of the IMX178 of the same size. Features: Sensor Tilt Plate In Player One Astronomy planetary cameras, it is possible to adjust the front plate. 256M DDR3 Memory Player One Astronomy cameras are the first to use DDR3 memory! This helps to stabilize and secure data transmission, effectively avoids frame loss, and greatly reduces readout noise. With DDR3 memory, the camera no longer has high processing requirements and will still have excellent performance even when connected to a USB 2.0 port. DPS Technology Player One Astronomy cameras feature DPS (Dead Pixel Suppression) technology. DPS analyzes many dark frames to find abnormal pixels. All dead pixels in the image (including both hot and cold pixels) are swept away. The DPS function is active during the entire imaging session. Overvoltage and overcurrent protection mechanism. Player One cameras ensure the safety of their cameras and equipment through an overvoltage and overcurrent protection mechanism. Data Port When the camera is connected to the USB3.0 port and full-resolution preview is used, it can reach 93 FPS in 10-bit mode (RAW8). During image recording, since the actual write speed will be affected by the write speed of the hard drive itself, when the hard drive write speed is slow, recording may not reach the theoretical speed. It is recommended to use a high-quality solid-state drive to record data to fully exploit the camera's performance. Use the ST4 guide cable to connect the camera and the AUTO GUIDE port of the equatorial mount for autoguiding.
