Player One Astronomy Xena-M USB3.0 Mono Auto-guiding Camera (IMX249)
Player One Astronomy Xena-M USB3.0 Mono Auto-guiding Camera (IMX249) New auto-guiding camera from Player One Astronomy featuring the large and sensitive monochrome Sony IMX249 sensor with 1936x1216 pixels. Compared to the planetary series, auto-guiding cameras do not have DDR cache but retain the USB3 port and DPS technology for noise reduction. Despite the lack of cache, it can also be easily used for planetary imaging! The convenient "eyepiece" shape makes it compatible with small guide telescopes and low-profile off-axis guiders. DPS Technology Player One Astronomy cameras feature DPS (Dead Pixel Suppression) technology. DPS analyzes many dark frames to find anomalous pixels. All dead pixels in the image (including both hot and cold pixels) are swept away. The DPS function is active during the entire imaging session. Overvoltage and overcurrent protection mechanism. Player One cameras ensure the safety of their cameras and equipment through an overvoltage and overcurrent protection mechanism. Data Port When the camera is connected to the USB3.0 port and full-resolution preview is used, it can reach 48 FPS in 10-bit mode (RAW8). When recording images, since the actual write speed will be affected by the write speed of the hard drive itself, when the hard drive write speed is slow, the recording may not reach the theoretical speed. It is recommended to use a high-quality solid-state drive to record data to fully take advantage of the camera's performance. Use the ST4 guide cable to connect the camera and the AUTO GUIDE port of the equatorial mount for auto-guiding. Performance Sensor Sony IMX249 CMOS (Mono) Diagonal 13.3 mm Total Pixels 2.3 Mega Pixels Max Resolution 1936×1216 Pixel Size 5.86 µm Chip Size 11.3×7.1 mm Frame Rate 48 FPS(10bit) Shutter Global shutter Exposure Range 32µs-2000s Readout Noise 6.0-3.5 e- QE Peak about 77% Full Well 32k e- ADC 12 bit Data Port USB3.0/USB2.0 Adapter 1.25" / M28.5X0.6 Back Focal Length 7.5 mm Protective Window AR coating Diameter 40 mm Weight 65 g Resolution and FPS Under USB3.0 mode Resolution 10bit ADC 1936×1216 65 FPS More resolution options could be setup in capture softewares!
