Player One Astronomy Ceres-C USB3.0 Color Autoguiding Camera (IMX224)
Player One Astronomy Ceres-C USB3.0 Color Autoguiding Camera (IMX224). The new autoguiding camera from Player One featuring the highly sensitive 1304x976 pixel Sony IMX224/225 color sensor. Compared to the planetary series, the autoguiding cameras do not have DDR cache but maintain the USB3 port and DPS technology for noise reduction. Despite the lack of cache, it can also be used for planetary imaging! Its convenient "eyepiece" shape makes it compatible with small guide telescopes and low-profile off-axis guiders. Ceres-C is the autoguiding camera developed by Player One Astronomy, with a 1/3” Sony IMX224/225 sensor. The pixel size is 3.75 µm, allowing for a full well capacity of 19.4 k e- with a total of 1.2 MPx (the resolution is 1304*976), and the diagonal is 6 mm. DPS Technology: Player One Astronomy cameras feature DPS (Dead Pixel Suppression) technology. DPS analyzes many dark frames to find anomalous pixels. All dead pixels in the image (including both hot and cold pixels) are wiped out. The DPS function is active during the entire imaging session. Overvoltage and overcurrent protection mechanism: Player One cameras ensure the safety of their cameras and equipment through an overvoltage and overcurrent protection mechanism. Data Port: When the camera is connected to the USB3.0 port and full-resolution preview is used, it can reach 154 FPS in 10-bit mode (RAW8). During image recording, since the actual writing speed will be affected by the write speed of the hard disk itself, if the hard disk write speed is slow, the recording may not reach the theoretical speed. It is recommended to use a high-quality solid-state drive to record data to fully exploit the camera's performance. Use the ST4 guide cable to connect the camera and the AUTO GUIDE port of the equatorial mount for autoguiding.
