Bob's Knobs Metric Screws Quick Collimation System for Celestron 9.25 inch SCT

Collimation screws for all Celestron C9.25 f/10 (CPC 925) models with metric screws. Item compatible with all 9.25-inch Celestron models equipped with black Phillips-head screws.

ATTENTION!!! This product is not compatible with C9.25 models featuring Fastar or EdgeHD.

The telescope dust cover can be installed even when the Bob's Knobs are mounted.

Some telescopes have an additional plastic protective cover for the collimation screws; in this case, it is advisable to remove this cover before proceeding with the installation of the Bob's Knobs.

The installation of Bob's Knobs is extremely simple and safe: inside the package, you will find a detailed manual that will guide you through the process of removing the factory screws and subsequently installing the Bob's Knobs. In particular, by replacing the screws individually, one at a time, there is no risk of the secondary mirror detaching from its cell. We further recommend pointing the telescope downward during the process so that gravity helps stabilize the secondary mirror within the cell.

Collimation is essential for achieving optimal observational results, especially when operating at high resolution, both visually and during imaging. Often, the screws provided by the manufacturer are quite inconvenient to adjust, especially when operating in the dark, in uncomfortable thermal conditions, or while looking through the instrument. All of this, obviously, requires significant effort and a non-negligible waste of observational time. Bob's Knobs facilitate this task, as they feature a knob that is easy to handle even in the dark, while wearing gloves, or in the cold.
