Auriga 45° Erecting Prism

Due to their excellent optical qualities, telescopes can also be used for terrestrial or nature observations. However, as is well known, the images that a telescope provides to the observer's eyes are inverted. Observing and using a telescope for terrestrial purposes would therefore be complicated and inconvenient. With the 45° erecting prism diagonal, however, it is possible to use your instrument for nature and terrestrial observations, just as if you were using a normal spotting scope. The Auriga image erector features a high-quality Amici prism made of BaK4 glass with all surfaces treated with effective anti-reflective coatings, all to ensure maximum transmissivity and minimize the loss of brightness and contrast modulation. The Auriga erecting prism fits comfortably into all 31.8mm (1.25") sockets already standard on refractors and catadioptric telescopes. This instrument cannot be used with Newtonian telescopes and therefore not with Dobsonians either. Compatible eyepieces are all those with a barrel diameter of 31.8mm. The locking system is guaranteed by the proven brass ring locking system guided by an ergonomic and resistant screw. As already mentioned, this diagonal is not compatible with telescopes equipped with a Newtonian design.
