Askar FMA180 Astrograph and Triplet Apo The Askar FMA180 is an almost color-pure triplet APO refractor with two special ED glass elements for excellent correction. High-quality optics produce a very color-pure (though not perfectly so) and high-contrast image, meeting the needs of astrophotography and observation. With the special full-frame F4.5 corrector, the ASKAR FMA180 with a 40 mm aperture and 220 mm focal length (f/4.5) becomes a professional 180 mm focal length APO telephoto lens for landscape and astrophotography. Internal darkening and elaborate multi-coating ensure high-contrast and brilliant images without reflections, even in difficult lighting conditions. It is also possible to use 2" nebula filters thanks to the filter thread located in front of the lens. The FMA 180 mm f/4.5 as a telephoto lens The manual APO telephoto lens is corrected up to full-frame format. Starting from the T2 thread, there is a working distance of 55 mm. Ideal for system cameras, DSLRs, and naturally, astro-cameras. The telephoto lens is so compact that it can also be used handheld. You can perform splendid wide-field observations or simply connect an autoguider and track the telescope cleanly. With a few simple steps, you can transform the telephoto lens into a compact and sharp spotting scope. All common photographic tripods can be used; the adapter is already included.
