The side-by-side plates allow you to install two telescopes in parallel on the same mount and they are thus useful for both photographic and visual applications. Using these side-by-side plates it's also possible, for example, to install a camera (like a DSLR) in parallel to the main telescope to take a picture of the sky through their own lens.
This plate can be connected to all mounts with a Losmandy plate and the two terminals are spaced at 310mm.
