The ideal optic for high-resolution observations of the Moon, planets, and terrestrial subjects with an optional erecting prism diagonal.

The new AZ-EQ Avant mount represents the perfect synthesis of the portable alt-azimuth and equatorial mounts available on the market. Ideal for both visual observers and photographers who need a lightweight, convenient mount equipped with micrometric controls that is adaptable to any possible situation and requirement. Its good load capacity of around 3kg is ideal for those who love lightweight, compact instruments but still desire rigidity and excellent performance.

The compactness and sturdiness of the AZ-EQ Avant mount will surprise you!

The new AZ-EQ Avant mount can be used in both alt-azimuth and equatorial configurations, with the ability to switch between them in just a few seconds. For quick observation or photography, set the mount to alt-azimuth, whereas if you want to observe planets, clusters, galaxies, or even just the Moon, set the base latitude of the mount to your latitude using the graduated scale and orient it approximately toward the celestial north pole, perhaps using your smartphone compass. By operating only the RA axis micrometric control, you will keep the objects you want to observe and investigate in the center of the field of view.
FEATURES Optical Design Maksutov-Cassegrain Catadioptric Diameter 102 mm Focal Length 1300 mm Focal Ratio f/12.75 Max.
