It adopts the Sony IMX585 1/1.2" format color sensor. The 2.9um pixel size accommodates a 47Ke full well with a total of 8.3 MP (resolution is 3856*2180) and a 12.85 mm diagonal. STARVIS Technology The Uranus-C Pro (IMX585) camera is based on Sony STARVIS2 technology, a back-illuminated pixel technology used in CMOS image sensors. Format The Uranus-C Pro has a 1/1.2" format, which is large enough for imaging. Cutting-edge Design The Uranus-C Pro cooled camera uses the same design as the Ares cooled series! Featuring a round body, a classic red and black color scheme, and the use of carbon fiber to keep weight low and provide a cutting-edge look. Integrated sensor tilt plate and anti-dew PCB board. This design series makes the camera not only lightweight but also functional! Front 3P and Rear 4P tilter plate When shooting deep-sky objects, the sensor tilt plate can be used to adjust the sensor's tilt angle to make stars in the corners rounder. The Uranus-C Pro camera provides both a front and rear tilt plate to suit all usage scenarios. The 3P front tilt plate is the default part on the camera. The 4P rear tilt plate is an alternative part for the camera, necessary when using a filter wheel/filter drawer and an OAG with a fixed angle. The built-in high-density sponge shading pad can block light from side slits without side leakage. Carbon Fiber and Lightweight The Uranus-C Pro uses carbon fiber in the camera housing and has been optimized for weight reduction in its structural design. The camera weighs only 420 grams, making it one of the lightest models on the market. Deep Cooling The Player One cooled camera series uses a 2-stage TEC cooling unit; after improving the structure design to reject heat inside the camera, the Delta-T can reach 35-40°C. Anti-Dew heater In designing lightweight cooled cameras, Player One still pursues perfection; all necessary features must include an anti-dew system. Full well The Uranus-C Pro camera has a 47Ke full well, which is at least 3.6 times greater than the IMX485 generation (13ke). Frame rate The Uranus-C Pro can perform at 47 FPS in RAW8 mode, which is much faster than IMX485 cameras. Non-Amp-Glow The Dark frame of the Uranus-C Pro camera is totally "dark"; it is also a "Non-Amp-Glow" camera! 512MB DDR3 Cache As an improvement, the DDR3 memory in the cooled cameras has been increased to 512 MB. It helps to stabilize and secure data transmission, effectively avoids frame loss, and greatly reduces read noise. With DDR3 memory, the camera no longer has high processing demands and will still perform excellently even when connected to a USB 2.0 port. Type-C Data port and Power port The back of the cooled camera has 2 Type-C data ports and a 12V DC 5.5 × 2.1 mm power port. The main data port supports the USB 3.0 protocol, allowing the camera to run at 47 fps in RAW8 mode. The Type-C port is easier to connect when setting up imaging equipment at night. It is recommended to use a high-quality solid-state drive to record data to fully realize the camera's performance. The camera has a 12V DC5.5*2.1mm port to provide sufficient power to the TEC cooling system. If cooling activation is not required, simply connect the main Type-C port, the c

Main features

Player One quality for a reliable and satisfying observation experience.

Sensor size: 3840 × 2160 px

Pixel size: 2.1 – 3.9 µm

Resolution: 5 – 9.99 MP

Main technical specifications

Brand

Player One

Model

Player One Astronomy Uranus-C Pro USB3.0 Color Cooled Camera (IMX585)

Type

Color (cooled cameras)

Sensor size

3840 × 2160 px

Pixel size

2.1 – 3.9 µm

Resolution

5 – 9.99 MP

Free shipping
Take advantage of free shipping throughout Italy for orders over €199.99!

https://www.giordanoastronomia.it/en/products/camera-raffreddata-player-one-astronomy-uranus-c-pro-usb3-0-colore-imx585
